hi,

looking for something to run in the background, not a high cpu user, that notifies of events, reminders etc anyone use anything ?

cheers

I use a very small program called "Mindful". It is just a reminder tool, it doesn't do scheduling and it's great for birthday's, dental appointments etc.

All reminders are in list form one on top of the other you can even enter dates againts events and the program will calculate the number of years eg, (on 1 October) Mary's [2001] Birthday. Would display Mary's 6th Birthday, you can set the number of days in advance you want reminding etc.

My latest is Mindful 1.2.6 at www.felitec.com

I do like Rainlendar I have to admit. Its nice and skinnable although the default skin is perfect for me.

For Uni I can mark in hand in dates for coursework, when exams are and holidays/revision weeks.
