recommend an FPS game other than Battlefield 4

I like CS:GO, I got really into it prior to the world cup and actually looked forward to playing it which is a rare thing these days.

However, the community (especially in game) is horrendous and can be a major put off for new players. Half the time you end up muting everyone on your team which ruins the strategic aspect of the game. It's a real shame.

I think thats realy server dependant, i have found community servers in CS:GO and cs source with very friendly atmosphere's.

I don't think that's unique to CS:GO... :(

Saying that, so far I've found the community in PS2 to be pretty mature and co-operative, had several good outings with platoon/squad leaders who actively update waypoints, assign squads to certain tasks and generally use tactics, and more importantly people who actually listen and do what they're told! :p

Bit of a different tack to the multiplayer games suggested so far: Payday 2. I have put in nearly 70hrs in the last 3 weeks because this game is like crack. A really nice change from the norm, and it forces you to play as a team to win every time. Very good fun and you'll be shooting at bots to help you hone your skills until you are MP competitive for the likes of BF

I wouldn't recommend TF2, biggest pile of **** I've ever played, pay to level up facebook ********. The original was so much better, everyone on a level footing where practice and skill made the difference.

I've been having a look at UT3, I played UT2k4 in the past and it's fast paced with quite a few different game modes.
