not 'quirky', more 'unheard of'

interpol - antics / turn on the bright lights, incredible band with a pretty unique sound, you should love them if you like bloc.
we are scientists - with love and squalor, seen them live twice, and you really can't appreciate how incredibly good they are until you have seen them live, although you can start by listening to this album over and over! oh yeah if you're up for some light reading, i really recommend reading one of their interviews or visiting their site - they're pretty funny
and i agree with the silent alarm comment, i'd say it's the best album out since it's release, without any doubt in my mind - try and get hold of their earlier stuff if you can, always new depths - tulips - the answer etc. are all equal to or better than any tracks on SA
