Recommend me a case please!

So you haven't actually ordered it yet then? I vote we close this one down and start another boring thread where someone with no willpower or force of self-determination pouts pathetically while he's circle-jerked by saddo's trying to get him to re-enforce their own low self esteem by buying the same thing they have.

Did I press submit? :o

No need for that attitude is there? None of my friends are into PCs like I am therefore I turn to the Internet and forums such as this for informed advice. There are always a few... let's just call them "people" who reply in the manner you did. If you can't be bothered to offer helpful and friendly advice, please don't bother posting anything at all.

Bit close to home?

Lets look at this rationally - you want a case to go to LANs, but none of your friends are into PC's?

My fav Lian-li case is the Lian Li PC-A10B Aluminium Full-Tower - Black

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-081-LL&groupid=701&catid=7&subcat=187

But it really a bit to big for taking to lan partys....

The silverstone TJ07 is very good case for watercooling where the TJ09 is a very good case for air cooling...but both are far to big & heavy for taking to lan partys...

How about a Lian-Li PC-7 PLUS Aluminium Midi-Tower Case - Black
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-054-LL&groupid=701&catid=7&subcat=187

I don't know if a Tuniq tower will fit

Plus you could always do what i do...Put so your harddrives in ext caddies like this one
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-004-BT&groupid=701&catid=14&subcat=72
Plus i have also recommended to have a look at the new GT1000 coming out..

Then it don't look like i have only said to buy the same PC case as i have ordered myself (TJ07)...

What? Are you serious? Going to LAN parties automatically mean my friends know enough about PCs to build their own? They couldn't possibly buy them pre-built in a shop on the high street or online?

Nice one.

Even allowing that you might be the nerdy one who gets there early because he thinks that port 0 on the switch is faster than the other 15, doesn't know his shirt-collar size and always gets his dog-tags taken every round in BF2142, there has to be someone else? Otherwise your LANs must be totally unlike any LAN I've ever been to.

I think you'll find I'm included on the target list. I'm thoroughly tired of threads - all across all the forums - where someone says "What should I buy" and then a host of posts (am I a poet?) follow that basically say "Buy what I bought - it's the best".

If it wasn't for Messiah Khan, Mekrel, R B Customs and a few other truly innovative posters (RIP Welshtom) these threads would be a VERY dull place to hang out.

Lets take this thread as an example. He's been offered the obvious, and the slightly less obvious and the downright unusual - all with detailed explanations why they are right for his purpose - and he's still asking people to explain why he should buy one case over another. That's what really reaches down my trousers and squeezes painfully. And he won't get it tomorrow now as he's missed the 4pm order deadline!

If Gray wants to take the post as a personal insult - he can, but he's missed the point. It wasn't especially meant in that way and I offer him/her an unabashed apology, but just look at a photograph of each, think to yourself, "which one of these do I prefer" and buy one. Then post pictures. ;)

Apology accepted ;)

I totally agree with you about liking the looks of one and just getting it. I just don't know which one I like the looks of the best, otherwise my choice would be easy. I won't bother you again, I certainly don't want to go anywhere near the trousers...

Oh right thanks, that very helpful!

Apologies. It has a good layout, cooling is good (Akasa Amber fans in I believe), construction feels very solid, it has a panel at the front for a front mounted PCI bracket, it has been around for a while and is still very popular. It looks quite nice (IMHO) and is very deep (width as you look straight on) which enables you to put big coolers like Tuniq Towers in.
