Recommend me a case please!

In your opinion, better than the V1000, and if so why?
I like it much more then a v1000 as there much more room in it...

Plus you have 7 5.25" drive bays plus a 3.5" one....
Removable motherboard tray..
You can fit up to a 480 rad in the bottom for watercooling without modding the case...
Room for two PSU's (The v1000 has problems with trying to fit even one)
The window on the right side for my room..

But this TJ07 is a heavy case at around 12kgs..

Review for the TJ07 here http://www.xtremecomputing.co.uk/review.php?id=275&page=1

I be putting one these silverstone 3.5" to 5.25" for holding my harddrives and for front air flow...http://www.xyzcomputing.com/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=1012&Itemid=0&limit=1&limitstart=1

Having had both cases theres no way an Eclipse can match the cooling remotely compared to an Antec 900 :)

Yes it can.

Theres a 200mm fan on the top for christ sake :D

Don't confuse lots of air movement with good cooling. Good cooling is about shifting heat, not pumping it round and round the inside of the case. And it's not quiet either.

Eclipse 62 is an awesome case but atm im happy with my Antec 900 for now, its a much better case perhaps not in terms of space/ease of installation but the features/cooling outdo the Eclipse 62.

It's a piece of junk. It's cramped, has a very poor layout and the cooling is shocking considering the supposed fan capacity. As for features, it has a few LED fans and an iPod tray. More useful than the removeable motherboard tray on the Eclipse? Doubtful.

If you are going to LANs you need a light, smallish case.

Have a look at the Lian Li G50 or Lian Li V600 (the internal layouts are identical).

This one has 4 HDD, 2 optical drives and a floppy/card reader combo and it was running an overclocked P4 at the time.

Those who recall when I got this may remember there was some kerfuffle when someone pointed out I was using a pair of Eclipses as a photo-stand. I've stopped doing that now - honest!

What case is that? The front looks different to both of the cases you mention.

And looking at that photo, where would a massive 7800gtx 512mb bad boy fit in?

That's my main concern really, fitting in the hdd's and the graphics card without it all cramped and messy.

I don't mind getting a bigger case to lug around to LAN parties. More of it to impress my mates with! ;)

***edit*** ok, it's the V600, but the photo on ocuk looks different. Looks like a nice case though, thanks for drawing my attention to it.

Looks a bit too cramped to get a Tuniq Tower in though?

It will fit an 8800GTX and no, it won't take any CPU cooler taller than 120mm.

In hindsight - I'm sure you'd be happier with an Antec 900 Gaming Case.

Yeah, that does look like a lovely case, but a) it's not out yet and b) it's over £250...

I'm still none the wiser which case to choose. :(

I just can't make my mind up! :(

I am even thinking about going all out and getting a Silverstone.

But which one- the TJ07 or TJ09?

The silverstone TJ07 is very good case for watercooling where the TJ09 is a very good case for air cooling...but both are far to big & heavy for taking to lan partys...

OK, as long as it's black, light, without a door, can easily fit 4 hard disks, a 7800gtx and a Tuniq Tower 120 cooler in all very comfortably... what the hell case do I get?

I just want to order one, and I want it yesterday!

ive ben looking for weeks. wish i never got the antec 900 if i was staying aircooled id stick with it as the airflow regardles what other people say is awsome inside the case is like a wind tunnel but due to going watercooling i am now 90% on getting a mozart..... if you want a mm case there is a shop that stocks them in the uk now

Right, I'm ordering TODAY!

I've narrowed it down to either the Akasa Eclipse 62 or the Antec Nine Hundred.

I want it cool, quiet, with good air flow, be able to fit 4 hard disks, a 7800GTX and a Tuniq Tower.

So which one?

So you haven't actually ordered it yet then? I vote we close this one down and start another boring thread where someone with no willpower or force of self-determination pouts pathetically while he's circle-jerked by saddo's trying to get him to re-enforce their own low self esteem by buying the same thing they have.

Did I press submit? :o
