Recommend me a decent quality USB 3.0 flash drive...

I'm after a reliable USB 3.0 flash drive, either 8GB or 16GB but have no idea what's good and what's not!

For example, what is the difference between these:

Corsair Flash Voyager 16GB USB3.0 Flash Drive - £17.99

Corsair Flash Voyager GT 16GB USB3.0 Flash Drive - £18.98

Worth the extra quid for the "GT" or should I be looking at others??

from what i remember the GT reads at about 135mb's the standard is around 100mb's

but i would still check this

Just cant be bothered to plug it in my back usb 3.0 slot.

If you want to extend a USB 3.0 port on your PC then:

Akasa USB 3.0 150cm Male to Female Extension Cable

I use one and it does the job fine.

I'm not sure what you intend to use it for but persionally I wouldnt pay nearly £20 for them

I appreciate the Samsung drive represents better value for money but I just want a smallish USB 3.0 drive that I can just hook onto my keyring!

The extension cable looks a good idea too as my USB 3.0 port is not very accessible - does anyone know if there is any drop in performance when you use one?

The dirves you were looking at are a bit bulky. I had an older USB 2.0 version and its was a bit if a pain once poped into a USB as it restricted use of others around it.

On a plus note, It was very quick (even for just USB2.0) and very reliable. Never had it fail on me. I just eventually lost it :mad:

like pretty much every other USB Flash Drive ive had. lol

No drop in performance, certainly not over that distance anyway. I used one in my old case, In the case I have now I used what should a gap for 3.5" and popped something similar to this in

used an extension cable to this and now you have some nice usb3.0 ports which are easily accessible
