Recommend me A Desk

I'd go with a morgan range desk

From Argos? Just ordered mine! Seems like a good plan.

Basically it's all modular, so you just buy the bits that you want and put them together to build one to suit you.

anyone know what desk this is.

EDIT: NM, its custom made. :(

I find it funny that the desk I have cost me >£40 and about an hour to make, and is more sturdy than one from ikea, However, if your into aethstetics, go for one with a "lip" on the front - you can hide all your cables on the underside that way :)

I found on most desk the cable ports are a total was of time. They are always in the corner, right at the back of the desk. Surely its just easier to have the desk pulled about 1-2cm from the wall and have the cables drop down the back as it looks neater. Here is my desk with cable ports (which I dont use!):

and a pic of behind the desk so you can see all the "hidden" cables:

Actually I lie, in the last pic you can see a cable comming from the cable port on the left, but thats been changed now so its not in there (speaker cable) :P

Finally got my new desk. Cost £100 but was £60 last week when it was on sale. I tried getting it at £60 but it was always out of stock and they were doing a first come first serve.

Took 3 hours to build on my own. lol.

Should have asked my wife to build it!!!

Would have taken at least 14 hours and you would still have some bits left over...lol

Tip: Marry someone who has either better DIY skills than yourself or has more patience when doing DIY. My wife built 8 "billy" bookcase units whilst I was in bed with a cold!

i would also recommend the Morgan Modular range from Argos, gonna try and get myself one this year at some point
