I'm after a boot drive to go with my two 200GB Seagate SATA drives. I'm thinking about an 80GB PATA drive - can anyone recommend me the fastest/cheapest 'small' PATA drive? It'll only be used for Windows and applications.
I'm thinking about one of these?
Samsung SpinPoint P SP0812N 80GB ATA-133 8MB Cache - OEM (HD-021-SA) (£39.89 Including VAT at 17.5%)
Western Digital Caviar Special Edition 80GB 800JB ATA-100 8MB Cache - OEM (HD-000-WD) (£37.54 Including VAT at 17.5%)
How will they compare with a 160GB 8MB Hitachi 7K250 (not the T model) I'm currently using?
EDIT: Okay, it looks like those two drives are very old! Maybe this one is better?
Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 10 80GB 6L080P0 ATA-133 8MB Cache - OEM (HD-073-MD) (£36.37 Including VAT at 17.5%)
