So I've been thinking maybe it's time to move on from the standard left and right headset and try out 5.1/7.1 ones. Thing is I'm a total headset noob, so I have no idea which one to go for. I would however prefer one that connects via audio jacks instead of USB (I don't mind it being USB powered though). I also don't really like the idea of it virtuallising the sound. Are there any good headsets that fit this criteria? Budget wise I'm looking to spend around £60.

I have the HS1 USB as well, great for the price, but I don't really use them for 5.1/7.1, so something like this might be better, although don't have much experience with it, so can't comment on it. I have some Sharkoon X-Tactic for real 5.1 and they are great, but out of your budget I think.

do they have 5/7 speakers and a sub built in?
Just get a high qaulity set of cans that promote their ultimate sound quality and look into getting a headphone amp.....!
