Recommend me a NAS Enclosure please

Hi,

I'm looking for recommendations on a simple NAS box that I can mirror two SATA HDDs please

Nothing fancy and cheaper the better, its main purpose is to remove mech HDDs from my main PC and store all the media files on the NAS for access from all PCs in the house

Dlink sharecentre is probably the cheapest option for just file sharing and can be had for £70 or so.

Thanks, I just looked and added 2 x 2TB HDD's and the total cost is the same as a pre built 4TB mirrored option

If I already have a 1TB WD Green drive which is now discontinued, can I buy any 1TB drive from OCUK, install them both to the Dlink box and setup a mirror to keep the cost down?

Yes that should be fine. Although you'd most likely have to wipe the drive before putting it into the box and configuring for DLink so bear that in mind if you have important data on there already.

Synology 216J with WD Red drives.

As above, they'll be formatted as EXT4 when you install them, so all data is wiped.
