Hi, I'm posting here for a mate. It's his g/f's birthday and she wants a new PC case. CAn you recommend one please?

His budget is £100 or less.

He wants Aluminium,
120mm inlet at the front
120mm exhaust at the rear.

Room for a couple of HDs and DVD drives please.

Can anyone recommend a good case please?

Thanks.

#That case has questional build quality, there are two many people reporting issues with it for my liking.
I may have been one of those people as i've criticised it quite a few times on here. Despite the flaws (bendy door, length of psu cables, patchy sound dampening) it's still the best case i've either owned or seen, for the price. A bit of diy and all those problems can be remedied. Fantastic performance and the fans that come with it are superb.

What other cases have you owned? As I like my cases to be perfect out of the box with no niggles, as if anything was not spot on I would go mental :p

When spending big bucks on a case I'm with you DIY should not be needed, imagine buying a washing machine and then having to cut bits off and fiddle around to make it work? you just wouldn't!

if you can strech to £105 I would recomend a
CoolerMaster Stacker STC-810 - Silver Trim (No PSU) (CA-054-CM)

Great build quality, and lots of room :)

PS. Why is the word t e h started out? Are the OCUK mods getting annoyed with how common the typo is getting?

I've just ordered the TT Shark from OCuk, will report back on how I get on with it if you like, it is to replace a Lian Li V1000 I'm not happy with cooling wise.

Wanted the GB Aurora, but OCuk dont stock em, and too tight to pay postage twice ;)

My other system is in a CM Stacker - awesome case for cooling, but looks a little dated now.

Well, for those that are interested, I got the TT Shark on Saturday, and put it altogether.

First impressions, very well put together case, nice to work with as far as building is concerned and will be easy to upgrade/replace anything in the case.

Some really cool design touches, such as HD trays with rubber'ized mounts for each drive, rails for the 5.25 devices, removable mobo tray. What is best about it is that it's quieter than the V1000 and cooling is better, temps have dropped in the new case.

Cons - if I was being picky, I would say minor things such as a little bit of overspray on the inside of the side panel round the mess and 'thin' metal used for the HD trays - but I guess thats for weight saving - it is a bloody light case! :)

All in all, I reckon for the money its good value, good internal layout and personally like the looks of it. :D
