Recommend me an Arcade Racer

As topic really, I'd like a decent arcade racer to play on PC. Not a big fan of sims (although I don't much a splash of realism e.g. NFS: Porsche 2000), so I've steered clear of GTR/GTR2/GTL/RBR/rFactor/LFS etc.

Might want to get hold of the full game for some of those, the demo's for quite a number of games listed there are nothing on the full version.

Live for speed is the best racing game on pc and any platform for that matter.
Yes it has realism but it's managable realism ie actually a doddle to get to grips
with.Arcade wise test drive unlimted is cool.

SRS Street racing is pretty good, looks/plays a lot like NFS, i enjoyed it though.

Decided to get this as it's only £7 delivered. Good game, with excellent performance and some exciting game modes (better than flatout2 in that regard). Also has weapons which is pretty cool

Downside: The campaign is incredibly short, I reckon it took me around 4hrs to complete. It's also a bit on the easy side.

Flatout 2 and Trackmania (United).

Rollcage is always fun and I found it in the cupboard and installed it last week (does work with the patch..). It's rather dated now though. Was amusing using my xbox 360 controller, found it much harder than using the keyboard. Couldn't get LAN play to work sadly - just froze on joining a game.

the newer need for speed games (NFS Underground 2, NFS Most wanted, or NFS Carbon) I like Most Wanted the best as it is set in day time.

Most wanted i liked less due to the way cars looked and handled, somehow I prefer the nfsu2 look, and i immediatly missed the tunign from nfsu2 in most wanted, and my faf car the skyline GTR, the best nfs imo would be underground 2 + expantion pack adding 100 more cars ( provided you can tune em each that much as in the original), mainly want more jap (abit more mainstream, ie sunny's, more types of corolla's, celica's, silvia's etc...,) and us (muscle) cars in.
