lol why would you want to be treated by shrills, when there's actually educated people using peer research techniques.
Because it works. It has worked for me whenever I've needed it.

and where does any of that say its not a shrill system, peer researched etc? oh wait it doesn't.In youe perusal of Wikipedia perhaps you forgot this bit:
that doesn't mean much, perhaps you had one which actually knew what he was on about, doesn't mean the next one will. or placebo etc.Because it works. It has worked for me whenever I've needed it.
I need the services of one to fix my lower back.
There is no evidence that osteopathy is effective at treating anything other than low back pain.

There's no evidence at all. There's only evidence it causes no harm. The belief is that it's either a placebo effect or the pain would just go away on its own anyways. As I pointed out even the UK council that deals with osteopathy can't explain how it should theoretically work.that is the problem - anecdotes and the placebo effect
(the evidence is pretty weak for lower back pain AFAIK)
The NHS also run homeopathic hospitals... it doesn't mean that homeopathy actually works or does anything but rather the NHS seemingly doesn't mind wasting a relatively small portion of their funds on nonsense if there is demand for it from patients
thankfully its slowly coming to an end thanks to pressure groups, they have a victory or two and are now going after others. It angers me so much to see that with the NHS in the state it is that they are wasting money like this. They might as well be dumping wheelbarrows of taxpayers money into a bonfire.
