Recommend me some Desktop speakers

I'm looking for some desktop speakers mostly for music from PC while I'm working, but also gaming a little if kids aren't asleep. Very unlikely to be used for any tv/movies, since this is just my PC desk in office. I have a proper HT setup in lounge.

I'm looking for something comparable in sound quality to proper speaker brand stuff. B&W, MA, etc. Massively loud isn't important, preferably active. A sub out might be nice for future.
My desk is large at 80cm deep, but has a lot of stuff on.

My main options I'm considering are.

Q Accoustics M20. Great reviews, good size driver, lots of input options. Might be too large though, 30cm deep. Around £400.

Klipsch R-40PM. Bit pricier, and smaller drivers.

KRK Aux Go 4. Certainly more desktop friendly in terms of size. Has EQ's.

KRK ROKIT 5 G4 - Specifically designed for close listening. Good bass. I've had KRK 5's before (RP3's if I remember). Would also be pretty good to hook up to my denon dj kit.

Budget, £400ish or less.

Anyone got any good recommends or other options? Cheers.

I have a friend who swears by KRK kit, he's got some wall mounted ones which sound fantastic (apologies not sure on model).
I've not heard many better speakers for the price.

Yeah I might be leaning towards them, since they are great price wise and sound great for electronic music.
I had RP2's a long time ago, and they were a bit muffled. I then had Gen 3's and they were a good step up in clarity. I expect the new G4's are even better.

Ruark MR1, they are one of the few purchaes that are actually better than I was hoping after reading all the glowing reviews.

They have a sub out and have also just released a sub - https://www.ruarkaudio.com/products/rs1-subwoofer
Another great contender. My only concern is the website doesn't show any frequency response information.
Edit: Found them in the support section.

I've just ordered some Q Accoustics M20's since Richer Sounds has them on offer for £350, same price as the Ruarks. Also should be loud enough for plugging into my decks occasionally.
I'll just pull my desk forward from the wall a couple inches. :D

I'll let you know how they sound when they're installed.

Got them setup. They do sound very good. Very balanced, slightly under-bass'd for my liking. I will probably add a sub at some point.
Looking for some stands now. (Yeah I know I need to do some cable tidying)

I'm too late but did you consider a sound bar? I have a Soundblaster Katana v2 and it sits nicely below my monitor. And it comes with a sub.
I didn't consider that. I'm happy with what I've got. The sound is full, I just want a bit of extra depth for games.
