Currently have the Medusa 5.1 headphones. But find begining to find them a little uncomfortable and i think the speakers are going (lots of wrattling inside the headset). I have one set break before, so wanted a new set from a different company perhaps. Needs to have a good mic (for skype and such like) and also comfortable, because the ones i have crush my ears.

I see that Medusa has a new looking set of headphones (silver) but dunno what they are like, so wanted to ask peoples opinons on which is the best for comfort, sound and microphone quality.

?AS ever im in here with my Alessandro Grado MS-1 recommendation. $99 direct from them and has a much more exciting sound compared to the veiled senns :D

Another vote for the HD595's, simply the best, sounds amazing, fits comfortably (even with all my earpiercings!) and you get a cool holder to place them on! :D

How are those 595's connected to the computer? Via a regular stereo socket (usually front on a sound card) or similar to my Medusa's where it goes to the 3 connections - front/centre/sub sockets via a small amp.

I've got the HD25s, and think they're brilliant. I listen to a lot of r'n'b & hiphop, so was looking for a pair of bassy (but crisp-sounding) cans. These fit the bill perfectly.

If they go into the 3.5 inch jack, how can they be surround sound? Surely you need 3 separate lines to receive from the sound card.

Going to antique my HD485 (read: lay them to rest on their stand) and buy the 595 soon I think, the 485 are awesome and comfy but I hear (bwaha!) the 595 are a step up in sound and comfort!

how do you mean surround sound? the jack is a stereo output jack, stereo positioning is excellent on good headphones and you don't need "surround headphones" /at all/ , in fact surround cans are more gimmicky if anything.

Same music style as me then :)

The HD485 cans are excellent for this kind of music :D
