recommend me some non FPS games

all of my games at the moment are FPS games, but i get far to competitive when i play FPS, i need something relaxing to play after work when im tired and easily angered

i tried to play hl2 deathmatch a minute ago but just got angry the second someone shot me in the back on spawning and can never stop checking the scoreboard to see where i am etc even though i opened the game for a laugh i ended up closing it in 5minutes :(

any good games that arent easy to get competitive in but arent so slow that they'll make me fall asleep? :p i was thinking of trying something RTS like but i cant think of any good ones other than command and conquer and ive already played through most of them

i know what you mean I have been a FPS player for years but long for a game I can dip in and out of when I want to relax, monthly payouts a no no, as I might not touch for weeks at a time

I completed guildwars:p got factions but hated it and that takes a lot of teaming up and you can wait >1/2 looking for a group i know there is henchmen but you try doing THK with hench !


thinking I might like X3 probably going to get it once the Red Orchestra freebie is up :D

yea i completed GW as well and factions just isnt the same, havent completed it yet but never have the urge to go and play it, think its the way the story on the first one, it sort of captured my attention but the factions story is very dull and slow

when is supreme commander out? that looks like a game i might be interested in, im not much of a space game person tbh so i doubt id like x3 but..you never know :p
 
Rollercoaster Tycoon :D its not competitive in free build mode, just make the biggest rollercoaster you can and watch all the people throw up when they get off, lol :)
 
Star Trek Birth of the Federation ... quality turn based Star Trek game, made better by modders still going at it ... they recently cracked adding phaser hardpoints to new models :) they have been after that for years.

You can get the game free and all the patches and mods ... the best mod being the colonies mod :)

i could never find any people brave enough to ride my rollercoasters in that game :)
 
How about an RTS of some kind then. That's what I did after realising all of my gamers were FPS's. I play AOE3 everyday for a laugh and it's nice and easy to pick up when you're bored.
