Recommend me some sports films.

The Hustler

Seriously? I wouldn't call pool a sport, it is a pretty good film but it surely can't count as a sport. Actually if golf counts then pool probably can as well ;) The Color Of Money is the follow up to the Hustler and is decent enough.

Undisputed is a fairly good film about boxing in prison, starring Wesley Snipes and Ving Rhames.

Most of the others I'd suggest have already been said, special mention though to The Replacements, very funny if pretty inane film, don't expect too much from the acting considering Keanu Reeves is the lead character but entertaining enough to waste 90 minutes :)

Oh and The Longest Yard is the film Mean Machine is based on albeit they changed from American Football to Football, it has been remade recently starring Adam Sandler as an American Football film.

Yeah, Any Given Sunday is an awesome film, even if you don't like american football. Top performance by Al, and prob the best motivational speech ever committed to film.

A league of their own - classic

The Mighty Ducks - again, and absolute classic

Happy Gilmour - hehe

Waterboy - more adam sandler :)

If you can include pool, then poker can be included (on a technicality ;))

= The Cincinnati Kid :D

Since we are straying further and further away from actual sports I'll offer another poker film - Rounders. It is fairly decent starring Matt Damon and Ed Norton.
