Putting together a micro atx system based around an enermax venus, gigabyte nf4 mATX 754 mobo, and a 3000+ 754 E6 chip, which actually only outputs 51w, which is the lowest of any desktop based A64 chip. From what I have read 2.7ghz is easily achievable, even on the stock cooler.
Right now I only have 2x512 Corsair value select ram and need something better. The value select barely breaks DDR400 at 2.5,3,3,8. And running a divider would severely restrict the speed of the memory I reckon.
So I think I need at least DDR500, as I would prefer to run the memory at 1:1. Any recommendations ? I see the Gskill LA or LE would do the job at decent timings but they are pricey.
