Recommend some Linux forums please

What exactly are you looking for? Support on how to use Linux / resolve issues? Ideas on what you can do with Linux? Latest tech news on Linux and devices running it? Etc... etc... etc...

Linuxquestions.org is pretty good for support stuff. For Ubuntu users, and its derivatives, then the Ubuntuforums.org is awesome.

Engadget is good for news... not sure they have a forum though, thinking about it. Same with /. - they've just got the comments to stories.

Slight hijack - but same question from me, but with a focus on the more geeks and nerds the better. Not to sound elitist (my lack of knowledge prohibits me :p), but forums where technicalities and implementations of 'high-end' technologies/solutions are discussed? Rather than "wich lynux windows is for me?" :D

Gentoo ;)

This one :)

We're all fairly nerdy/in the know(ish)

Gentoo's forum hasnt been mentioned but can be interesting...

With two provisos........
1. Half the stuff is about man's ongoing war with portage (tho it usually behaves, it can be a right brat when it suits it).
2. Search with google, not the in-house search engine.....why oh why oh why did they employ a forum package whose search routine rejects anything 3 letters or less.......I mean it's not like anyone would need to look for IDE, or USB, or KDE or GNU or.......

LOL

Theres also a lot of IRC channels worth checking out on Freenode, #linux, #archlinux, #ubuntu etc. Most distros have their own channels these days with lots of active people/nerds on them.
