Recommend speakers! :)

Atm I'm using these speedlink vivo 2.1 speakers, but they give out a buzzing noise which really gets on my nerves so I want to replace them, without going over the top money wise, also, could this buzzing be a problem with my internal sound? I'm using the internal motherboard sound card, if that could be the problem, not the speakers could you recommend a good sound card?

Probably worth plugging something else like headphones in the same socket that the speakers get the buzzing with just to rule out anything soundcard/onboard sound related

Can you connect the speakers to anything else, to try them? An MP3 player, laptop, TV, etc.

I'll connect the speakers into my phone, and headphones into my comp and I'll see what I get.

ok, so I plugged the speakers into my phone, and the buzzing didn't stop but it certainly died down quite a bit.

with my headphones in the comp jack I couldn't hear any buzzing at all.

and speakers plugged back into the comp, buzzing starts again

It's got to be the speakers then. If it were the PC, then there is a good chance you would also have heard it with headphones.

What are you looking to spend on some speakers?

I don't really wanna spend over £50, but if I have to for quality, I guess I wouldn't mind going over a bit.

I think that is a reasonable amount. I'd imagine if speakers are too cheap, you are more than likely going to encounter buzzing, cheap parts n all.

Logitech Z323's maybe.

Creative T3130's also look quite reasonable, and are £30 ATM, with this week only offer,

the Creative looks really good, checking out reviews atm, I'm probably going to get it.
