Recommendation internal for Plex/media storage please?

I just built an ITX desktop and used its single M.2 with a 512GB SSD.

Thus wondering what to do about media files. I’ve got a few TBs worth.

Considering the Seagate Barracuda that one can get for about £100 (by taking it out of their ‘backup plus”) enclosure.

Or a 3tb 3.5” (I’ve not read good things about higher capacities in 3.5” models.)

i use 2 x 2tb Barracuda's(not in raid),. one drive for filmes and the other for TV/music

what os are you running?

Running an Ubuntu variant - prime use case for larger/slower storage is Plex, and a local Dropbox mirror.

I'm going to try out the 5TB 2.5" Seagate Barracuda (the one that you can rip out of the USB enclosure).
