Hi,

I currently have an LCD on a separate rig for gaming.

Am looking for an LCD to pair with my Macbook Pro for software development, and general use.

Looking for a screen that's crisp, with good color reproduction.

Is IPS still the best type of dispay? I'm a bit out of touch now.

With regards to size, 24" or 27" is probably ideal. Want to keep to under £300 budget.

What does 4k 24 inch sound like? Considering its for your mac and that mac doesnt have the same scaling issues compared to windows(im told i dont personally know) maybe its worth a look?

LG 24UD58-B 290 pounds can be found cheaper elsewhere.. I know it can be had for around 230 here in Denmark where I live.

Yea grab a 24" 4k, that will give you a crisp 1080p retina resolution. You will find that next to your MacBook screen most monitors won't look as bright or white.

What generation is your Macbook Pro? If you need/want USB-C then your budget will need to be bigger. LG's 27UK850 would pair nicely but is nearer to £500. It is 27" 4K IPS HDR.
