Hi folks,

Does anyone have any recommendations for a motherboard that supports the AMD X6 1090 CPU? I want something that works out of the box. Thanks.

Any 8xx chipset really, depends on your needs ( extra PCI-E slots ? More USB ? Sata 3 ? ). I'd recommend gigabyte boards, they give you great set of features for price.
Also unless you're etreme overclocker with high end setup, I wouldn't really spend more than ¬80-90 on mobo, most of the ones in 50-70 area will be good too but it all depends what features you need so think about those first and then see the prices.

Thanks Guys. Do any of these AMD boards have a fairly decent GPU built in? The reason I ask is I don't really want to spend on a graphics card at the moment, because I don't play games that much. Didn't want a separate GPU sat there drawing 120 watts or similar on idle.

880G chipsets have ATI 4290 which is against all odds a very capable card as for onboard GPUs.

Won't do wonders in new titles but older titles from few years ago should be playable easily and not so old ones could do on low res as well.

Even things like Starcraft 2 plat perfectly at 1680x1050 when you put the details down which got me suprised quite well. Also managed to plat cod4 on it but only at low res.

Will these build in GPUs be able to give me 1920 X 1080 for my HD video editing?

before I bought my HD5750, I was using the onboard HD4290 on the 890 chipset at 1920 x 1200.
I know someone using an x300 GPU with 1920 x 1080 for photoshop, not gaming though.
