recommended multiplayer games for kids

looking for a few suggestions for my kids ideally lan or over steam.

nothing too violent so no gta style stuff something thought provoking and ideally fun

Trine should be good, looks lovely and you need team work. Plays on one screen and is the kind of stuff I used to go nuts over in the megadrive/snes days

already got mincecraft and a pile of lego games which induce much fighting

9 and 10

current favourite is minecraft as their starting to grow out of the lego games a bit now.

but I feel there a bit young to introduce to things like cod. although they do like a bit of WOTs

Torchlight 2? Bit too 'mature'? It's a cartoony Diablo III.

I Second Trine, as well.

Also maybe some MAME arcade ROMs. Plenty for 2 players, or tournament style games.

Lego games are awesome, trine 1 & 2, guacamelee,
