Recommended Sata-2 HDDs?

I'm looking for a Sata-2 HDD that is between 250-300GB. What are some recommended makes/models?

Can I use a Sata-2 HDD and an IDE HDD on the same motherboard in conjuction with each other?

I would recommended either the Seagate Barracuda or the Samsung Spinpoint

Samsung SpinPoint T HD300LJ 300GB SATA-II 8MB Cache - OEM (HD-032-SA) £64.57 (3 Year Warranty + Dead Quiet)

IDE and SATA drives should work fine together.

If speed is an issue then the Seagate 7200.10s are highly recommended but if that isn't so much of a concern then the Samsung as mentioned is another good choice.

Samsung are generally thought of as being the quietest range of drives, if it really is an important issue look into enclosures such as the Silentmaxx that OcUK sells.
