As above - I haven't really dabbled in the above but would like to. My website is *very* static at the moment (www.sarawallen.com), I would like it to be a little more interactive, maybe move my blog over to it, make it easier for me to post images to it, etc.

W3Schools is very good once you've got some idea of what you are doing but I'd love something step-by-step.

I have some limited C++ and Java knowledge, which might help find me something around my level?

Thanks!

If you are interested in learning php + mysql then for a starting book, I bought PHP and MySQL for Dynamic Web Sites - Larry Ullman, which was ideal for learning. After that, php.net for any other requirements I would need.

If you don't fancy learning it all, then you can easily download wordpress or other blogging software and have a look through some of its plugins and i'm pretty sure you'll find something that would help upload images to your blog. (iirc, newer versions of wordpress have built-in image uploaders???).

Got this book myself when learning and it was great even for a noob like me :)

Thanks all :D

Yeah I've done the whole pre-designed blog etc malarkey but it ends up too much of a pain to make them look the way I'd like, so it'd be nicer to start from scratch :)
