A quick question and I fear the answer is it is not possible.

Before my M/B went bang, I had 2 1.5TB drives in RAID 0 using the asus P6T SE on board raid driver.

Now I have a new M/B and want to connect them back up. The new Motherboard is Gigabyte X79-UP4 Intel X79 (Socket 2011) DDR3 Motherboard

I remember when setting up the raid on the old board, you had to create the raid volume and then add the disks that wiped them.

Is there any way I can connect up the 2 disks that were raid 0 onto the new M/B and raid drivers without loosing the data ?

I fear the answer after a bit of googling.

The raid array should be detected and work fine as soon as you put the controller into raid mode.

Thanks Diablo, that is good news. I take it the Raid information is written to each disk that all raid controllers can read and configure accordingly ?

Only if the raid controller is the same model or similar so I understand it. Even though the board is a .diffrent socket it should be close enough that it will work.
