After months of unintentional OC'ing ( more of that later ) What program would you recommend for me to record my CPU usage whilst playing a game?
TIA!

Something Else, Thanks but I wanted something that I could refer back to, look at logs etc. I see windows 7 has the performance monitor but I am a little unsure as to how to set it up to show just cpu usage as a % on a graph.

Setter, didnt realise core temp had a cpu usage log tool available, I thought it was temps....Dont have a GXXX keyboard so that wont work.

Attu90,
Well this all stems from this thread... http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18472974

After talking to my son who apparently does OC, he said if the system runs the programs I use without any issue then I should be good to go.

After doing a little research I realise I need a new cooler to begin with but I just want to get a base to work from.
At the mo, I just want to find a program to record/log my cpu usage whilst playing different games and with different settings. Then I will post up my n00b questions about my specific OC.
;)

Thanks, found that.
Didnt realise AB had the OSD and could be linked to HWinfo.

Found by turning on vsync I saved about 15% cpu usage. Less cpu usage = less heat. sweet.

TBH I prefer to limit frame rate in Afterburner. It has the same effect of stopping tearing and reducing CPU+GPU workload but without the gooey input lag. If vsync input lag doesn't bother you (lots don't even notice it) then happy days, but give AB limiting a go

I find 62fps or sometimes 58, but never 60, has the desired effect, but I guess it's down to your screen and eyes :D
