Hi guys

I need to do a training video (for want of a better word) for work that people can watch via windows media player etc, I just want to show where to go on a certain program and how to do things right.

I just want something that will record my desktop view as I do it?

Any good programs spring to mind?

Looking for a similer thing myself. However FRAPS seems to only record game play?

(Sorry to Hijack the thread!)

I've used the freeby called Camstudio. It's saves what it records as an .avi or a .swf [which is even handier ,saves on spaces and you could incorporate it into a webpage for distribution ].I used it to capture Google Earth ,zooming in to a city , it worked well but , stuttered slightly .Should be OK for programs though .

camtasia but techsmith is pretty good, it is shareware though, think theres a 30day trial thats pretty much the full thing, you can even select specific regions of the screen to record as well as the entire screen
