recover deleted files on flash drive ?

hi does any one know of a programme that will allow me to recover lost/deleted files on a pen drive without having to pay the earth my son has lost his school work so any advise would be great

thanks for the help guys i tried both and they worked but some of the file are corrupt so my son has leaned a valuable lesson , backup and backup again
