ok ok, all is not lost, the most important thing you have to do is:
contact Hotmail, not a bunch of scarcastic gits on OCUK

Always use a backup solution with webmail.
I read an article some time ago about always backing up webmail, this is for two reasons.
First being if you delete something by mistake and want to recover it, then you have it. Secondly for time like this you have all your emails should anything untoward happen.
The easiest way to achieve this is create a secondary account called "[email protected]" if you are using gmail. Go into the options and have every mail forwarded to this account in addition to your main mailbox.
Simples and very effective.
