I find Glutamine and Leucine mix ok. I stick them in a hand shaker with water, flavoured whey and oats and well, it tastes rank but the BCAAs dont make it any worse, and there's only 3-5g in each shake so they mix fine as far as i can tell.. I just find it easier to take them in powered form.
 
Yeah I tried mixing Oatso Simple last night with my shake before a workout, I had use two pints of milk to get it all down because it tasted like pure concentrated faeces. I was forced to spit the last mouth full out or I would have been sick, i'm not a fan of having to chew down drinks lol.

I'll give it another go with these oats i've ordered, but if that's the same I think i'll just eat a bowl of cherios or something with my protein shake.

I found that using the 'pulse' button would force the oats up from the sides and into the blades. Does yours have this feature?

Those little hand blenders are better anyway and make next to no mess. They also fit into a shaker so it very quick. Put all ingredients in shaker, add water/ milk, put it hand blender for 20 secs and drink.

Rince blender under tap and rinse shaker out, job done. Takes me about 2 mins from start to finish and no messy blender to take to bits and clean afterwards :) :cool:

As to an earlier post, try and get your carbs in a 2:1 ratio with your protein 2 hours before your workourt. Then a 4:1 to ratio with protein for your PWO shake. Also try and buy some quick absorbing carbs like Dex or MalDex for you PWO, if you can afford it of course! Glut is very good for getting rid of your sore muscles if you get them. But you need to take it in proper doses not the recommended 3-5g! You need 10-15g a day! Hope some of this helps! ;)

Better drinking it during your workout in water. I actually start drinking mine on the way to the gym. The main strength of bcaa's/leucine is they don't need digesting, they just pass straight into the system where they're needed. This doesn't require your body to divert blood and energy away from the muscles to the stomach like whey does, or anything else for that matter.

Also why would anyone want to pay extra for the bcaa's/leucine alone, then chuck it into whey? Whey is already 10% leucine anyway (23% bcaa's)
 
Yeah it does have the Pulse button. Very noisy using that way as well.

Man, I'm aching today :( Gym was dead last night as it was v. hot so abused the equipment a little to hard.
