Recovery software for OSX

[doodah]

Long story short, we need to run recovery software on a networked drive. Ordinarily I would use GetDataBack but never used it on a Mac nor a networked drive. It couldn't see any drives other than the local ones, tried a few other programs and had the same result.

Any recommendations please?

The command line ddrescue was always popular on Linux. I've used with good success.

Looks like you can use it in OSX too.
