As per the title chaps.
I'm running an old Dell Optiplex 755, spec as follows...
Dell Optiplex 755
Intel Core Duo 3.00 ghz
4G DDR2 RAM
160G SATTA HD
GeFrorce 710 2G graphics
300W power supply
Running Windows 10 64bit.
My brother has just sent his Dell Inspiron 530 tower (Vista OS) to the tip, but not before I robbed both 1k sticks of 1G RAM and some other bits from his machine.
My question is simple, I believe both systems use(d) DDR2 RAM, is it worth sticking one of the spare 1k sticks into my spare port thus bringing my RAM up to 5k in total? Is this even possibe/worth bothering with?
If the answer to the above question is yes, then is it as simple as just turning the machine on it's side, putting the extra stick of RAM in and then powering up?
Thanks in advance for any help/musings/wisdom on this
