I starting playing this for no apparent reason and am really getting into it again :)

Problem is that I am playing it on a 24" monitor with the native res of 1920*1200 and when I put my mouse to the bottom of the map to scroll into new territory, it scrolls way to fast.

Is there anyway to slow this down?

Already tried slowing down the mouse pointer in windows and setting the scroll rate to slow in the settings of RA, but it didn't help much.

Thanks for any input.

What spec? Are you running it in XP? What version (eg Aftermath)?

I had it working fine with a dualcore and a fairly sensitive mouse using the lowest slider setting in Red Alert with the 3.03 XP patch.

I started playing warcraft 2 again and it was scrolling way too fast on my XP machine. GTA2 the whole gameplay sped up like mad on my vista machine, it was weird.

I'm pretty sure theres a fix out there for it.. one sec i'll see if I can track it down.

Edit: infact I think it's part of the official free release on the C&C website..

System specs? Have you used a tool like "setaffinity" to correct the multicore issue if applicable?

T7250, 4GB RAM, 8600GTm

No just run it...no tools run.

Tried the right click thing...doesn't help much.

....I would rather not download the whole thing again...is there no patch I can apply to the version I have at the moment?

If RA1 was old enough to be run from dos, then perhaps using DOSBox would help. It basicaly emulate an old DOS environment, and even lets you controll the speed and framerate at which it runs. Perfect for running realy old games that play too fast on modern machines.

what did you set it to conrad? I keep doing but it defaults to 6

I fixed it without going to the ini files, enable back buffer in video memory! through the "RASETUP" application.
