Red Alert 3 Beta

Aint that bad, i mainly subbed for all the betas that come out :P

Finally got it working after the major "invalid online ID" bug...

Got into a game in the nub room which i called beginners, only to get some elite player come in a own me, aint played online RTS in years...

Don't know how much i can say without breaking NDA, probably already broke it enough by saying i'm in it :P
 
It seems beta is open to everyone now.

Well I assume it has changed. I heard keys were only being given to subscribers and I'm definitely not a subscriber. You need to go through the EA site and submit the key given. God knows how long/even if they get back to you :(

Cool, got my key but now getting an error when i try downloading the exe. Just says forbidden when you click to join the public queue, it may be getting hammered so i'll try again in a bit.
 
I've downloading a client through rapidshare at the moment. No idea if it's the old beta client or what. I will report back.

I'm a little confused. On fileplanet it seems you can just go straight ahead and use that key where as if you go on EA and input the key, you get a message saying:

You have successfully submitted your information for the Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 beta program. Once your beta key has been verified you will be added to the priority list

Bloody thing is updating now. It will probably be an hour or so.

Finally got my key this morning, queuing at the moment...

edit: 1hr later.. downloaded and installed.. now doing an online EA update or something. ETA 1200 mins :rolleyes:

Why didn't they update the fileplanet file? This update is big.. about 860mb?!

Imagine my disappointed after doing all that **** only to find out my login attempts just time out.

That would be annoying! Came back to the just now to find an error on screen - download failed. Started it again now. It is going quicker so "only" going to be 140ish mins.

Reminds me of RA so much xD

Glad they kept the voices and music etc!

Can't wait for the FMV scenes in the full game
