Red&Black Spec Check

If you wanted an AMD build rather than an Intel one, then this motherboard would be the dog's danglies!

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-398-AS

It's AM3/AM3+ so you're covered for BD if it turns out to be as good as we all hope it does...

Unless you wanted to go mad with price and go down the Maximus IV route:

But IMO, £300 for a motherboard is mental lol - that said, the last motherboard I bought cost around £60 lol

I'm happy with this motherboard etc, that CPU Cooler is hot.
I've suggested some Red Vengeance, if they don't I'll have to get it elsewhere.

depends which ones, the normal Ripjaws or the RipjawsX but i would suggest a closed loop watercooler just to be safe.

You ain't gunna change my mind about the 650D. If I see something I like nobody changes my mind. xD

I love the FT02... looks awesome - and some serious cooling off those bottom fans!

However, I still think the 650D is a winner all round! :) get enough red CCFLs or LEDs in there and it'll be as red as you could ever want lol

what about this cheaper than what your case+psu comes to plus better cooler than the intel stock cooler.

or for about the same price as what you current chose psu and case come to this

what about oem for the os? for the oem windows home premium 64bit + the hdd you've chose can be had for little over £100which will save you £50 or so here

put the £50 saving towards a 6950 2gb

Nah I really want the 100% Modular to get best airflow and to make it look tidy :D And I don't really want to get caught up with having to buy a new win 7 every time I need a fresh install.

with oem you can reinstall it more than once, I've reinstalled xp and vista(more so xp) a quite a few times over the years. With xp have even changed motherboard and hard disk but still managed to activate it, had to phone up and use the automated system a couple of times(not sure if that's still active for xp as think ms are dropping/have dropped support for xp)

i have win7 retail but then I got it for £50 on preorder(got 2 as was planning on 2 pcs but not used the 2nd yet), decided against pro ed at £99 as didn't think I'd need the features.

Someone recommend me a nice power supply that will be ok to hide in the 650D, I was gunna get the 100% Modular from Corsair but at £120 for 750W its a little too much

Just to give you an idea of what some of this kit being suggested would look like, i have a the silverstone Fortress (the black one), an asus direct direct cu ii and the be quiet cooler, with a black / red theme -
