So, red bull is never going to be great for your health taken in large or regular quantities, however I was wondering what the average ocuk'ers intake actually was?

I tend to have one in the morning if I've had a really late night before hand, or one on a night out if a long day which to me doesn't seem to bad. Though some friends have commented I have it too much.

I wouldn't have one a day. I would only have it if I had got no sleep and had to stay up. Eat more/better food if you need energy.

I drink redbull or other branded equivalents probably 2/3 times a week, am partial to a relentless!

In the mornings, try having an apple to wake you up, I recently heard it's great for making you feel alive in the mornings and seems to be doing me justice.

agreed - I'm not talking about every day here lol! I'm just saying if really tired one morning due to a late night or such.

Forgot to mention I don't drink coffee, just don't like the taste so much.

I used to drink a lot of these energy drinks, but then realised I was piling on weight and feeling awful.

Now I generally have one for a big event when I need to bring my a game and be really focused

A Coke or Dr Pepper serves me better than an energy drink if I need a little pick me up.

I went through a period where I was picking up cans of Relentless though - but I put a stop to that when I realised it had 88% of RDA for sugar in it.

Zero.

I don't see the appeal in Red Bull (which is why I haven't tried it) which makes it cost £1.50 per can. Other energy drinks have just as much caffeine in them (if not more) and cost a lot less.

I've only ever had it on occaision when I was at uni on a night out, I bloody hate it. As such I just don't drink it. Horrid stuff!

It tastes like liquid chemicals, and people have died after drinking it, due to the high caffeine deydrating you at a crazy rate, but the brain being tricked into thinking you're hydrated. That amount of caffeine shames an Espresso lol.

I'll occasionally have an energy drink if I'm working night shift, particularly if the site is far away. 2hr drive home after working on a railway is not fun!

Mountain Dew > Red Bull

I could literally drink Mountain Dew by the litre. But that's because I like the taste.

I don't actually drink that much caffeine at all. Don't drink tea/coffee or any caffeine drinks particularly often.

I'd say a coke a month is probably about it.

I once drank 2 litre bottles of 'blue bolt' every day for 3 weeks.

My gums and kidneys were aching at the end of that and it took me about 4 days to 'come off' it.

Yikes.

Energy drinks are generally totally gross.
