Red Bull Racing / Toro Rosso

If Perez never made a mistake he would have passed Alonso in Malaysia just as he passed both Ferrari's on their home turf. And Perez also passed Alonso at Canada so I think we can safely say Ferrari have no sway over Sauber just cause they supply engines.

I wouldn't call it unsporting, i would call it unfair, from what i have noticed in 2010 and 2012 the toro roso would just let RB straight through without a fight but when the Ferrari was there he wouldn't let him by, that is not being fair to the rest of the grid imo, i am a massive Schumacher fan but i lost a lot of respect for him after what he did for Vettel, Ferrari gave him the best years of his career he could have at least made Vettel work for the pass.

So what do you think is unfair? Red Bull owning 2 teams or any driver letting another driver through?

It seems to me that the RBR/TR thing is just being used as an excuse for people to vent about something that is far more widespread. Last Sunday Massa let Alonso through, and both HRTs and Schumacher let Vettel through, yet only Toro Rosso are being accused of some form of 'cheating' or being unfair.

I think most can see the difference between a team mate moving over on occasion and a whole other team moving over for one specific set of cars race after race if possible.

If Jenson had moved over to give Alonso the title in Brazil would that have been ok with you Skeeter? Or how about if Renault moved over for Alonso in Abu Dhabi 2010, no problem with that either I guess?

I remember Hamilton complaining last year after the Spanish gp about the torro rosso's letting vettel through and then blocking him holding him up. At the time horner denied there was anything between the two teams but as we have seen recently, it isn't entirely true.

lol... he was 2 seconds a lap slower.
vettel was already in the position he needed.

schumacher making him fight for that place would have meant nothing unless you wanted schumacher to ram vettel off the track

There is also the fact that everyone is massively overlooking:

Tying to fight for a position against a car that is significantly faster than you will cost you more time than just letting them pass, especially when the performance and driver skill difference is so high. He would have just been delaying the inevitable DRS overtake. It was so early in the race and TR are not racing Redbull's, there racing Caterham, Force India etc.

Drive smart, drive fast. Isnt that what everyone's been complaining about Lewis NOT doing over the last 2 seasons?

he was in the same position against button in the last GP and fought over every inch of the track. The resulting action was great for the fans.

I think the pass may have been with DRS anyway...

Yeah, you know, and Red Bull move out of the way for Renault all the time....

Renault dont own Red Bull
Renault benefit heavily from every RBR win (which is only natural)
Renault dont actually own any team in the first place - Lotus are owned by an investment company

I dont like back markers/ midfield teams seemingly moving over quicker time after time for certain teams / drivers, and holding others back - unfortunately its a fact of life / F1 and will continue
