Red Dead Redemption Thread

You get a lot of "griefers" on the public free roam. Its chill if you have a private sesh with mates though, or just end up with a grief-free bunch (unlikely!)

Just finished the game and wow was the trailer right, there are parts in the game when you think it's over and it it's not. It's got hours of game play and I still find myself going back to it doing challenges and things. Just one thing disappoint's me and that is how the dam rope breaks too easy when you try to lassoo a horse or person.

ive never had it break are you letting go of the trigger?

I don't understand the Duelling mechanics. I place my targets with R2, yet sometimes he doesn't even fire.

Once, he spun the pistol on his finger and re-holstered before I was shot down. :p

Starting to feel like a bit of a slog to finish this for me tbh. Just getting annoyed with the mission structure. I know its pretty much the same as GTAIV's missions, but its the getting locked into having to ride at the same speed as the person you are following that really annoys me. Each time i blast on ahead to skip it, it just says "return to...." At least in GTAIV you were the one driving all the time and could rake it along or go slow.

Just did a mission that required a bit of stealth which was cool, but that has been about it for Mexico so far.

I struggled with this, basically it works like this

When the word DRAW appears press LT as quick as poss, this will make the aiming cursor change from red to white more slowly. now the key here is to aim at the body part (or gun) you want to hit and press the RT as soon as the cursor is at its smallest and whitest. This will fill your bar immediately and you will fire.

Alternatively just hammer RT while aiming at the other guy to waste him.

If you dont follow try reading what i said again because you might assume im just repeating what you know but its all about the cursor colour and size that matters!

Just skinned me 18 bears. :)

The last bear had a gang of friends. As soon as I killed my 18th bear, 5-6 more bears came out of no where and started charging me! It was one hell of a battle! They killed my horse though. :(

32% trophies unlocked so far.

Yes, I'm pretty sure it's accurate :)

Note about Bounty Hunter missions: my last three in mexico where randoms (faces where blank and marked with a ? symbol), they still counted. So check your stats to see where/if your short. This confused me for a while.
