How do you get the gold medal in a combat mission?

I just redid the very first combat mission (with the sheriff).

You need to get good scores for head-shots, accuracy and time to get a gold medal, but you don't have to do them all at the same time. (you can redo it over and focus on one each time).

That said it's a piece of piddle to do the first mission to gold once you've mastered the controls. It's a short ride, then you just need to cap 6 blokes in the head in dead eye, and you can cover all three criteria in one go.

argh. Trying to do level 10 survivalist. I've collected all the herbs but it wont unlock. What am I doing wrong?

I have

x3 woolly blue curls
x3 prickly pears
x4 butterfly weeds
x4 wild feverfew
x3 hummingbird sage
x12 violet snowdrops
x15 golden currants
x13 prairie poppys
x3 red sage
x3 desert sage

Suvivalist 10
Requirement: 10 Violet Snowdrops AND 2 more of every other herb already collected.

Got it. For some reason it wasn't acknowledging a few plants a had.

Just unlocked Legend of The West. All challenges maxed out.

Game looks brilliant, really gives you a feel for the western life. Love helping people out, only times I have ever had a bounty is by accident.

OK that was strange, I was hunting Boar just north of MacFarlane's Ranch and I came across a woman kneeling next to a body and crying.
I stood there for a few seconds but there wasn't any button prompt.

She then picked up a gun off the ground and shot herself!

Save the game first and then goto Stats>>Missions, select any mission to replay it.

Those in your inventory before starting the quest don't count.

I think this will actually get better for me once the game ends and when i go into "Free Roam" mode in SP.

The same happened with GTAIV, it kinda got even better for me because I started to aim for the achievements like races etc. Something that i never wanted to do during the actual singleplayer. The same goes for most games I play, I prefer to finish the SP and then go back through it (if possible in the game itself) and get the extra stuff. Hate looking for things/trying to get odd achievements during the singleplayer experience.

Free mode is ridiculous. every time I try to do a challenge some posse come and kill me all the time getting really annoying

I thought free roam was MP only? I was getting alittle annoyed when I kept reading about the trophies that can only be had in free roam.

Just picked this up after trading in a few games...last copy too in the store.

So far its ok...graphics are pretty good i have to say...looks very realistic.

Bit slow to start off...i just finished off the pikes basin bit where you have to rescue the settlers from those rustlers etc.

Unless it's for a challenge that gains an achievement on a public server, a tip is to select 'system link' from the MP options and do the task in private and in peace. You will still earn XP so you can hunt, do gang hideouts, ect and level up.

FreeRoam really is best with people you know, had some great games with Wingzero last night. It's not that hard to avoid the gangs and if you've got a couple of people you know playing sometimes it's fun to stand and have a mini gang fight with some others.

Oh and Wingzero, go pick up that TNT
