Red Dead Redemption Thread

Very similar to Batman: Arkham Asylum, which had the exclusive feature of playing as the Joker, Red Dead Redemption will also feature some exclusive to hopefully sway the consumers mind towards the PS3 version. It did work with Batman and the title ended up outselling the Xbox 360 likely due to that reason. The exclusive content will be Solomon's Folly Gang Hideout and Walton Gang Outfit -- according to the retail box. The content is included for free and packed in the game's casing.

I guess you could wait and see since the US reviews will be out very soon since the game comes out there on Tuesday.

They should say which version is better. I'm getting the 360 version just because of the controller, Live and i prefer achievements to Trophies.

Tbh I would be surprised if the PS3 version looked better. They will either be the exact same, or the 360 version will edge it like it did with GTAIV. Not starting a flame war or anything, I own both consoles, just my opinion. The 360 always tends to handle multi-platform games better.

All the trailers and gameplay footage I have seen/noticed run the 360 version (from memory here, I just remember seeing "A" and "B" rather than "X" or "O"). Whether or not that means anything i don't know.

I'll be getting it on the PS3 unless it's another case of Bayonetta, I prefer the trophies (have more) and saves me having to faff about setting up the 360 for no reason :p

A company with Rockstars reputation wouldn't make such a monumental mess of a multiplatform game of this magnitude, especially something that is being tipped as the real new Grand Theft Auto  (GTA IV was a bit of a let down imo)

Far be it from me, and please tell me to sod off :) but isn't that a little unhealthy if he is playing it a lot.

He is restricted, believe me,but he,s a clever little bugger, and can use the ps3 pad without looking at the buttons.
He also "plays" paint on my pc,knows all about left/right/double click etc, starts it up,and uses paint straight off the bat, though i must say loves football in the garden, and golf with those plastic clubs, and boy can he hit a ball.

Question.

Do horses get tired/need to rest, eat or drink?

I'm not sure if I want that or just for the horses to keep going full speed all time. Might actually have to ditch your horse if it gets tired and then jack someone else's horse... that could be either fun or really annoying.
