They'd be insane to do a console-only version after how well GTAV has done on PC.

I also really hope it's not a RDR sequel. That setting was done, it was amazing, but I'd rather see Rockstar put that time and energy into doing another awesome setting using the old GTA formula as a base. Something unique rather than just more of the same.

The PC version was only late because of the new prograss the dev team made towards PC gaming. Before GTAV the only good Port was Max Payne 3 the rest of rockstar games was horrible on the PC.

Seeing they now up to scratch with the PC platform I expect all releases to be the same now.
 
I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but I fully expect R* to pull the similar stunt (would use harsher word..) as with GTA V.

That is:

Announce PS4/Xbone version only. Release those.

Two years later, announce PS4Pro/Scorpio version only. Release that.

Year later, announce PC version. Release that.

This way they will get many dumbos to double or triple dip, just like with GTA V.
 
I can only hope! One of my favourite 360 games of all time. Like others have said a completely new game rather than a remaster please.

Something finally worth looking forward to.

No you misunderstand, paul_cz. The two upcoming consoles are not the start of a new generation. Both MS and Sony have categorically stated there will no non-VR games exclusive to PS4 Pro/Scorpio.

Yes, sorry. I phrased my answer partly wrong. What I meant to say is as well as there being no exclusives, there will be no "special" versions of games sold separately. Any Pro or Scorpio enhancements have to ship day and date with the main game on the base consoles.

So there won't be Pro/Scorpio versions two years after PS4/Xbone version. They're both the same thing.

I pretty much guarantee that won't be the case this time. Whatever R* does will involve online.

Getting as many people online is the key to their business model. Seeing that RAGE now works well on all three platforms and online DLC can be released to all on the same day at the same time then their is no need to hold back. Unlike GTAV there is no next gen waiting around the corner (Scorpio and pro are current gen) so, get everybody online, develop all three at the same time as per GTAV, sell million of $ of shark cards, profit....
