Robert makes a really interesting point on filming in front of a live audience. I think the standard would be much better and it captures some of what I liked about the original shows.

How do you stop people from youtubing it and giving it away?

Yeah, every time I hear about RD coming back I sink a little lower. Needs to be left alone. It really needed to be left alone two seasons and three specials ago.

other than the corrie street bit I liked the special, the blade runner hommage was particulary enjoyable

live studio audience could be all it takes to make it great again

For me Red Dwarf had a certain charm with its dodgy special effects and toilet humour, they just can't make it work any more....the specials have shown that.

The Specials felt like something you'd get for Red nose day. They felt rushed and considering he'd had about 10 years to perfect the mother of all scripts....now he's only had 2 years.

Looking forward though!!!

Also, I think Jimmy Carr should play Holly.

Funnily enough I was reading this earlier!

Great news and they seem to realise after series 5 and 6 it went downhill too which is a start!

Also live audiences back on the cards - have to say the latest 3-parter seemed empty without the laughter.
