Red Dwarf X

How do they manage not to have it filmed or leaked by a live audience these days, with all the social media and blogging etc?

Not excited for this unless they've updated some of the humour. Some old episodes feel very dated.

The marooned episode is the best IMO.

With or without a live audicance it wouldnt of saved the crap they released called Back to earth, I will watch it regardless but im not going in with high expectations this time

Some old episodes feel very dated.

Definitely.

You wouldn't believe me if I told you how many times I have seen every episode of Red dwarf, and whilst I love it, I find a rather large part of it quite grating tbh.
It is hard to explain, I love it, but the script and acting are awful:p...I can't explain why I love it!

The marooned episode is the best IMO.
Meltdown for me, as it has my favourite line ever-

Rimmer- "We attack tomorrow, under cover of daylight"
Kryten "...daylight sir?"
Rimmer- "absolutely Kryten, its the last thing they will be expecting. A daylight charge over the minefield"

:D

Meltdown for me, as it has my favourite line ever-

Kryten or legion for me.

Holly: Lasts longer than any other type of milk, dog's milk.
Lister: Why?
Holly: No bugger'll drink it

or

Rimmer: Step up to Red Alert!
Kryten: Sir, are you absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb

:D

The live audience is a good thing, they feel confident enough to show the material to and get a reaction from a live audience.

I don't have high hopes for it. Rob Grant was the genius behind Red Dwarf
I don't think it will ever be consistently good without him.

Oh god, why am I watching back to earth on Dave it's crap and they allready done the squid story line. Why oh why did they do this.

Back to Earth was rubbish, I hope this is better. I actually feel optimistic.

Meltdown for me, as it has my favourite line ever-

Rimmer- "We attack tomorrow, under cover of daylight"
Kryten "...daylight sir?"
Rimmer- "absolutely Kryten, its the last thing they will be expecting. A daylight charge over the minefield"

:D

Also Lister shouting at Cat after being repeatedly slapped by Emperor Caligula was hilarious. :)

My fave.

White Hole

Kryten: Well the Space Corp directive 195 clearly states that in an emergency power situation a hologramatic crewmember must lay down his life in order that the living crewmembers might survive.

Rimmer: Yes, but Rimmer Directive 271 states just as clearly: No chance you metal *******.

:D

Being in live audiences while TV shows are filmed is usually a tedious experience at best. And for a show you just know is going to be awful? No thanks... Waste of a day.

Original cast and crew (& writers), or just don't bother at all thanks.
