I for one welcome these exceptionally great deals. I can relate to buying a 970 a few months before the next gen came out, and the equivalent deals now are way better than that time over two years ago! (concerning the 1060 range especially)

My predicament is I'm in between jobs currently (a better way of saying I don't have one :o), and so it wouldn't be a wise decision to make at all :p

What's the likelihood we'll see it at this price again in the future (2-3 months)?

Not sure it will be about then, LG tend to make a limited number of each G-SYNC model and only do one production run I am afraid.

I'm looking for a card to handle 1440P... what's the best on offer that fits the bill? I'll probably be looking at watercooling it eventually as well, just swapping over to a Thermaltake Core P5 chassis, so not too bothered with quality of cooler.

Probably the Inno3D 1080 X4, simply because they feature such high boost and memory clocks out the box, it was the 2nd fastest 1080 on the market, only beaten by Zotac Extreme model. I also think the Inno3D is a reference 1080 PCB too which makes it very suited for watercooling upgrade. :)

SSD prices have fallen massively, were even selling the best Samsung 860 EVO SATA for just £199.99 as well, so if you want a premium brand pay £30 and get the Samsung, otherwise the TeamGroup offers similar performance and is just reliable. Both are 3D NAND.

The colour also looks nice on the team group ssd. Looks better in real life than in pictures.

Sorry off topic but isn't the evga 1080 hybrid the fastest 1080 card?

580/1060/970/390 performance should really be at £150. It's ancient now. With 1080/Ti performance around £300/400.

RAM prices are still laughable too. The PC hardware market has turned to *****.
