Red light running

Run reds daily on my bike.

Trolling motorists since day.

Watched the implications of this last week whilst cycling into London.
Dumb bimbo on her bike, thinks she's as "clever" as the other muppets on bikes who run red lights and tries the same. Makes it 20m past the light before being taken off by the van who'd probably been blindspotted by the stupid location she'd put herself in.
Luckily for her, it was a low speed collision and she was just shaken.

What REALLY annoys me is that:
1. The EXAMPLE that this type of riding sets to inexperienced riders, which will include my son in a few years
2. The fact that WHEN enough inexperienced riders have also tried to be "clever" and have ended up as cheesemeal under the wheels of trucks/buses that the government will probably pass another stupid law which is AIMED at the morons running red lights, but is actually far more likely to impact the other 85% of cyclists who actually pay some attention to road laws.

But hey, THANKS in advance for screwing my cycling pleasure, LOVE YOU TOO!

How clever will you feel when you're smashed off your bike by a car legitimately going through on green?
You'd not only have my car's (and your) damage to sort, you'd also have a very large angry northerner to deal with. Couldn't give a **** if you were injured if you'd run a red.

Don't ride like a tool.

Do it all the time. I also go through red lights when turning left, why that isn't legal I don't know, it is in the USA (technically turning right).
Wow. Althgh mighty tempting, I've never turned on red. Hope you get caught one day! Right turn on red isn't legal in all 50 states FWIW.

I don't think I've ever blown through temporary lights, but I will put my foot down if normal lights go orange:p

There were roadworks outside my house the other week, my drive was just between the lights and one end of the roadworks.

Driving home I see the light go red when I'm about 100 yards away, but I sneak in anyway and turn into my drive, the person behind followed me and was left facing an oncoming queue. :D

A bit later the roadworks moved so I was in the middle of them, which was annoying as it was hard to judge who's turn it was to go when leaving the house. Got it wrong a few times. :-/

I will occasionally on temporary ones if I can see it is a clear road. Weirdly I won't on fixed ones though even if the road is clear. I find the temp ones don't change as nicely as the fixed ones though, so you can be sitting there for a few minutes for no reason
