Say what you want about roids, but it still takes a hell of a lot of hardwork and dedication to get built like even on roids that and it's not something that they boast about

Isnt this the film rumoured to be 50 million dollars over budget from The Rock not turning up / turning up 8 hours late etc.

Wow The Rock actually taking a hit in a film

The Vin Diesel fans have entered the chat. :D

Seriously though, I doubt he takes steroids. He is known for his work ethic on set. The stuff about not taking a hit still sounds iffy to me, considering his career was built in Pro Wrestling where the scriptwriters define who takes the hits.

Please tell me this is a joke.

You do not get to or maintain that sort of mass and definition naturally, especially in your 50's, period. Anyone claiming otherwise is manipulating people to make bank, like that nutbar who goes by Liver King.

The Rock and anyone that sort of size from a muscular/build perspective absolutely is on some sort of stack, aka a cocktail of drugs aimed at greatly increasing their ability to gain muscle. The reason people deny it is because it's seen as taboo, despite it always being blatantly obvious when someone is using in strength/body building related areas. It still takes a lot of hard work to get to that point, but even freaks of nature aren't doing it naturally to that degree.

My brother in law, his brother and dad definitely lucked out on the genetics, don't think I should share pictures but his dad in his 70s would make most of these social media body builders cry and absolutely no drugs involved (I'm not sure about his younger years but definitely not the last couple of decades), doesn't have the definition of his younger years but still maintaining that kind of mass. It takes an unholy regimen and dedication though.

I need to find the dedication to get back into it myself but with shift work it is hard to maintain a good diet and levels of energy/motivation :( as long as I keep my vitamin D levels up even in my 40s can build new muscle really quickly if I put the effort in.

My grandfather was similar, seriously lucked out in that regard but it was a borderline second job for him and it got to the point where he couldn't maintain it anymore by the time he was in his late 70's.

Cutting alcohol out makes an unholy difference even when remaining fully natural, I don't think people realise how much it messes things up.

Good for your family putting the effort in! I turn 40 in a couple of months and I'm tempted to get some bloodwork done to see where I stand in terms of diet/potential supplements/test levels etc. I'm not grinding to a halt but I've certainly noticed a little bit of a decline in how hard I can push things over the past 2-3 years.
