Yeah they all seem good.

I set my filters so i dont see empty or full severs, i see about 10-15 servers, most full and some with a few people on them.

The darkest Hour mod is truly awesome, some of the sound effects from the new weapons is pretty meaty.

Had a great match last night storming Juno Beach. a lot of us on the left flank were getting taken out by a sniper in the church tower. We could suppress him but not get a shot on him. I called out in game and asked the tank commander to send a round into the church tower, 10 seconds later BOOM, goodnight. Love it.

Add my Steam tag and we'll meet up on Friday, i will be on about 7-7:30. Would be awesome if we could get a few of us. Some veterans of RO and some newbies to show them the ropes.

Just wish there was a squad option like the Battlefield series.
 
Does darkest hour have much in the way of tank maps? I tried RO a few months back when it was on offer on steam and found that i could never join infantry maps fast enough to play a class other then the one without a limit, so i never get a chance at sniping or machine guns, which is why i prefer tank maps.

Im not really sure to be honest, i have only played it for a few hours. The only maps i have played were : Carentan, Foy and Juno beach. These are infantry maps. I havent had any problems choosing a class like machine gunner, they do go quickly.

Well i just played a bit of DH, and it may be the servers i played on but there are lots of idiots. Not sure of the map name, but it was a bright grassland map with hedgerows in it, with the US objective to take over some axis gun emplacements. My team are getting killed over and over by machine guns, so i sneak along through the grass to one of them, throw in a satchle charge, followed by 5 of my idiot teammates. The TKs caused by my idiot team caused me to get a temp ban.

There are ofcourse some good players who take it seriously, including tactics and trying to command. These players seem rare though, but it is great fun playing alongside people who know what they are doing.
 
Add me to your steam list. I dont take it seriously, i just like the team play factor. Im always shouting out to people enemy positions etc even if no one else has got a mic.

RO night tonight i reckon..............if im up in time ;)
 
I was really a big fan of RO when it was released a few years ago, this might be the chance to reinstall it.
 
I wrote a mini review on the RO forums somewhere. I will put it on here to give you guys an idea of what i thought about it. It is about 2 years old so some of the game comparisons may be out of date.
 
As someone posted "there seems to be a lot of idiots". This normally occurs when there is a large influx of new players.

e.g. when the game price is reduced or there are a number of guest passes available, a glut of fng's can unbalance teams. Which is understandable given the learning curve etc.

Play on well admin'ed servers such as TWB (RO) and Splat's (DH) boxes should keep the muppets at bay.
 
I've had this game over 2 years :) I still play the odd round :)

I used to play for a clan (5thW) but they dispanded and went on to other games.
 
Yeah it was great fun. We were all chatting through steam and it worked very well. A lot of good teamwork and enemy spotting. Lets all get together tongiht and get some good games going.

Like i said earlier, i will be on between 7-8, see you all there.

Downloaded the DH mod the other night....I've fallen in love again lol.

Improvement on the regular RO, love the crack of the rounds as they go past :D reminds me of doing the 'Butts' when on the ranges in the forces :)
