Guys seems there is no official thread for this....

Looking at picking it up today, anybody bought this yet...?

How do the graphics scale to 1080p?

Is this a must buy?

There's no doubt that designing Red Steel 2 around Wii MotionPlus controls was an inspired decision, and Ubisoft deserves enormous credit for demonstrating just how much potential resides in Nintendo's woefully underused tech. As a template for how to combine shooting and swordplay within one intuitive, fluid control system, Red Steel 2 is an incredible achievement. But the bottom line is that the game takes a little too long to get going, and when it does it's all over way too soon.

8.5 Presentation
Simple, uncluttered and concise.
9.5 Graphics
The Wii is pushed to its limit in what must surely be one of the best looking games ever released on Nintendo's system.
8.5 Sound
Deranged voiceovers add a comic touch, while impactful sound effects add to the sense of chaotic drama.
9.0 Gameplay
The promise of the Wii MotionPlus is laid bare in a game which effortlessly combines deep swordplay mechanics with intuitive point-and-shoot gunplay.
7.0 Lasting Appeal
Red Steel 2's single chink in its armour is the brevity of its campaign. And with no multiplayer mode either, this is potentially classic weekend rental territory.

Got it through the door this morning so i will be able to tell you later :)

It got the game plus the add on from amazon for £30 :D

Finally put some time into red steel 2 and so far its great, i love how they have mix up the sword and the gun play, you end up switching between the 2 quite a lot during combat, i don't know what they have done to the shooting mechanic but it seems to work better in red steel 2 than any other shooter on the wii, the sword play as works really well, tho after an hour my arm was getting bloody soar

The graphics also have to get a mention, they are really that good and until monster hunter is released i think this will be the best looking 3rd party game on the wii and the game also runs very smoothly, no slow downs yet

Also the music is quite good it has a westerny feel about it and works well in the game :D

So far I'm liking the game and if it keeps up I would recommend this game.

Got it yesterday and so far I think it's great.

It's my 1st ever console game and I've very rarely played a game like that on anything but a keyboard and mouse but so far I love the way the game plays, the way you switch between guns and swing with the sword, stack up combo moves, block and execute finishing moves make for a very entertaining game.

From what a lot of people are saying about Wii graphics I wasn't expecting much, but the graphics and artistic direction are fantastic, much better than I was expecting. I will definatley be buying Monster Hunter Tri and COD MW if the quality of Redsteel 2's graphics are not a one off.

How does it compare to Metroid Prime 3?

Its been a while since i played mp3 so i would need to go back and play it but if you have played any other fps on the wii you know how overly sensitive the controls can be picking up ever little twitch you make, red steel 2 seems to keep the highly accurate and fast fps controls but has removed the picking up ever little twitch bit and it just seems to work.

Wow got it today. It really is good fun, graphics are nice too!

For me the only let down is all the doors (read loading) other than that great game, loving it!

I just finished the game and i really did enjoy it, I would recommend this to any one that looking for something a bit different :D
